What to know before judging a result
Keep the original file and listen to both results before continuing your edit.
- Start with the original file when possible. Social-media recompression removes useful detail.
- Live reverb, choirs, and overlapping instruments may leave traces in the vocal track.
- Quiet dialogue, strong noise, and sounds sharing the same frequencies are harder to separate completely.
- A video must contain audio; portrait or landscape orientation does not affect separation.

Why can I still hear some music in the vocals?
Reverb, choirs, and overlapping frequencies are difficult to isolate completely. A cleaner source usually helps more than a recompressed copy.
